Navigating the BYOT/D Waters in Your Classroom
Master Courses

This six-session online course will acquaint teachers and administrators with the knowledge and skills to successfully implement students bringing their own devices/technology into the classroom. The course focuses on helping teachers understand the background and policies associated with BYOT/D and then how to tap into the power of students having devices in their hands. The course will spend the majority of time on learning management and instructional strategies for classrooms.

Throughout this online course, participants will explore numerous examples of BYOT/D applications and how they can be used to communicate, engage students, enhance learning and gather data to inform instruction. By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained hands-on experience with these applications and developed an implementation plan for their own classrooms.

Using Social Networking for Professional Learning - Fall 2024

This course focuses on using social media tools as a means of building your own Professional Learning Network and expanding your options for professional learning and collaboration. It is not a course about using these tools with your students. During the weeks you will focus on both the common tools and strategies you can use to seek out the latest in education, teaching and administration and collaborate with others to increase your own professional knowledge and expertise.
